We had the privilege of visiting a good friend of Te Pā, Tipare, at George FM Tipare played a big part in making this experience possible, and it was awesome to have her and her team welcome us and show our rangatahi around the station.

This visit was all about giving our rangatahi a new experience opening their eyes to the media world and what goes on behind the scenes. Our rangatahi have shared with us what they’re passionate about, and this opportunity was a way to nurture those interests and hopefully ignite something deeper within them.

As part of the Te Whitinga o Te Rā programme, we aim to create pathways and spaces where our rangatahi can explore, be creative, and see themselves in different futures. For them, this wasn’t just a tour it was a chance to step into a new world and start imagining what’s possible for them.

Thank you to Dean, Tipare and Sean for taking the time to take us around. We had a great time. Ngā mihi nunui
