Te Pā (formerly PARS) was established in 1946. Our Leadership and staff are experts in their field and hold intensive understandings of the complexities of incarcerated and post incarceration whānau challenges. Te Pā is open to media requests for commentary and involvement in stories that highlight these issues with integrity and clarity. We are also able to connect media with whānau we serve when appropriate.
If you would like to request an interview with one of our experts, or one of our lived-experienced tāngata, please contact our Communications Adviser in an email below with the following information.
- Who is requesting contact (media organisation)
- What is the context of the request
- Brief of background of the story
- Is the media radio, television, online digital platform, documentary, or student related
Alternatively you can use the media enquiries form below.
Language usage in media
Please be aware that Te Pā uses the terms tangata (person), tāngata (people) and whānau (family) when referring to those we support. We understand the power of labels and believe it is fundamentally important to the restoration of those we work with to be referenced in a manner that enables a context of reform.
